Scarab 215 Reverse Module Error U0410

It was a connection on the back end of the the wiring from the gear shifter. Saved myself a lot of money.
Where do you find that, I am running out of options to fix my reverse module error.

Can you send me a pic of where that is or tell me where to look for it. I am going through all of my connections to try and fix a ereverse module error. Thanks!

Sorry to hear! Yours does sound possibly like a stuck /blown motor. Changing the IBR motor (if you have any mechanical ability) is not bad at all. After making sure you have the tools and materials needed, plan for 1.5- 2 hours your first time.

For me, after replacing it I found that the motor was not my actual issue. It was related to the relays on the starboard engine fuse box. I had only replaced the ones on the port side. Either way I was glad to have replaced the motor so that I had the confidence that it won't go bad anytime soon. Also be aware that someone here reported the IBR controller board that had a component that burned out on it. That can be checked also by pulling the IBR assembly out and checking the board.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
How did you acquire the new IBR motor? We’re at that point. We overrode the system and the IBR makes a whining sound when moving into forward, but no movement of the gate/bucket. That only moves if you physically do it, which makes the IbR cable move on the inside and the IBR jiggle . Maybe it’s seized? Everything we see purchase-wise is for rebuilding the one we have (send in and rebuild). Were you able to get a brand new one? Did you have a scarab service manual? (That’s another hard thing to find.)

Cecil Marine out of NJ shipped one to me in VA and we had the next day. Several places including my dealer said it would be couple weeks or more for the part. Install is fairly simple. Fixed my problem.
So far!

Update. I just received a call from the dealer and they ultimately had to replace the reverse module.

Can you give a ballpark of what they charged for the new Inr/ibr motor? We’re being quoted @1000 for new motor, not rebuilt. Did you need new metal bracket or did your new motor fit/slot onto the current one that’s attached to the boat? Thanks for any help!! We’ve done some override checks and put in new 30 amp fuse and narrowed it to the motor, I hope.

Got the part shipped for just under 1k and it came with the metal bracket attached.
