Pulled all my snaps and filled with 3M 5200 this morning. I left the boat out in the Florida sun all day and it was still tacky when the sun was going down. Does this stuff ever harden? I’d check the tube instructions but the applicator nozzle was crappy and I had to toss it when I was through because it was so messy. How long did you wait before you started laying down Seadek? Assuming it ever hardens.

Fast cure takes a while to not be tacky, regular 5200 takes forever, like a day

Was it fast cure (24hrs) or regular cure (7 days)

The red packaging is fast cure, blue is regular cure.

Just wanted to follow up in case anyone searches this in the future.

The 5200 was dry enough the next day that I could have laid down the Seadek if I wanted to (I did not get the fast dry). The center was still kinda squishy so I decided to wait. I did lay down all the optional mats and couldn’t be happier so far. 9BA90ACA-7F5C-4BE7-BA36-45F4477DF392.jpeg0C4D41B2-791E-425A-8820-2BE913E55A1B.jpeg81120632-F6D1-4445-9D4F-D7EFC9622332.jpegAFDD1CAD-C30A-4B34-860F-DE33A12AADD4.jpeg95478D3E-4FC9-45CE-A7DB-D8B4ACE0583B.jpeg
