Glad we opted to not go with a Denali and went with the 5.3 in our 2022 Yukon XL. Sure the lifters sh!t the bed at 3500 miles, but beats a potential engine recall / replacement.

Great looking ride! Is that a 2025? Check your build date. Supposedly at this time the 2025's are not included in the recall. GM is saying “A series of crankshaft and connecting rod manufacturing improvements implemented on or before June 1st, 2024, addressed contamination and quality issues. Model-year 2025 vehicles were built after these improvements and are not included in the recall.” Whether that is true or GM is just blowing smoke is debatable, but I would think they were well aware of the issue and had to implement a fix at some point.

Unfortunately it is a 23, I usually lease vehicles, and just with everything, it was just as expensive to lease a Yukon Elevation with the features we wanted, as it was to buy this used 23, with all the options. I'm hearing mixed reveiws, of people with 2025's saying their engines have blown up as well. I know all the guys at the dealership, and most of them are running something with the 6.2, and they all said the same thing. "It sucks, but we are basically all in this together". Again my mind was at ease, becasue of the free GM warranty, plus my experience with my previous truck, and how the dealer went to bat for me. So gives me the confidence that if anything does happen, they will have my back. I think that makes a big difference.

Had my boat in dry storage for 10 years until I figured out the new marina owners were hauling her out and straight to the barn without flushing or rinsing, and if you got back to the dock after 4:30 it was staying on the water overnight! So... I put her back on the trailer. The X5 has plenty of power and tows just fine, better than the Expedition even though the X feels smaller. The painful part was I put myself in a position with the expiring yearly lease that I only had 30 days to buy and install a Stealth Hitch and completely overhaul my MFI trailer by swapping the leaf springs out with torsion axles. Best thing I ever did!

2021 ford ranger with tremor package. Front sports a mid travel kit with SVC billet UCA and tie rod ends paired with 2.5” coilover ADS racing shocks. Rear is stuffed with Deaver HD leaf spring pack with extended shackles and 2.25” piggy back ADS racing shocks. Shocks are adjustable to soften for desert running or stiffen for towing. Method wheels, 33” tires, SVC Baja bumpers front and rear and a decked drawer in the bed. Tow rating is 7500 lbs. I don’t even feel the boat and trailer behind me.
