Ok, not too far off. It felt like I was going uphill quite a bit but probably minor compared to out West. I added some 50 psi rated Air Lift bags a few years ago so that helped with the rear end leveling. I had 30 psi in them. These are the black air bags that go inside the rear coil springs.

Just got a Chevy 3500 with Duramax and Allison transmission. I never had the option to go whatever speed I wanted pulling a trailer. I was always power limited. One trip and I realize I have to limit myself, and I should not be trusted.

The Nissan NVP3500 van does great too, but nowhere close to the same power. But when the boat seats 12, and the van seats 12, it's a great tow vehicle.

If your Chevy 3500 Duramax operates the same way my F-350 diesel does, the just put the exhaust / engine brake to auto, transmission in tow / haul, and set the cruise control and all you have to do is steer. That should keep your exuberance under control LOL! I remember one time towing my 12,000 toy hauler out on the open highway and I looked down and I was going 85 mph…ooops.

Congrats on the new truck! Really nice ride!

The 6.0 Cateye pulls the 212 like a dream. Odometer just rolled over 90k. I have a feeling I’ll be battling rust before the motor goes.

2021 ford ranger with tremor package. Front sports a mid travel kit with SVC billet UCA and tie rod ends paired with 2.5” coilover ADS racing shocks. Rear is stuffed with Deaver HD leaf spring pack with extended shackles and 2.25” piggy back ADS racing shocks. Shocks are adjustable to soften for desert running or stiffen for towing. Method wheels, 33” tires, SVC Baja bumpers front and rear and a decked drawer in the bed. Tow rating is 7500 lbs. I don’t even feel the boat and trailer behind me.

Nothing wrong with my 23 GMC but came across a great deal. Traded in my three-year-old truck with 50K miles for a new 26 and my payment stayed the same. They took almost $16K off the sticker and gave me solid trade in value on the 23. Pretty much identical truck.
