My wife backs the trailer in when we launch and recover.. last year she was all nervous but this year she isnt... last weekend we do our normal routine.. we pull in and park at the top of the parking lot where no one is around and we prep.. once we are ready my wife drives to the ramp.. swings around... backs us in and the unlatchest the boat... I back off and she goes to park the truck... I have seen grown men with a bran new 40k truck and a bran new 80k boat not know how to back down the ramp... our boat ramps have individual lanes to back down with curbs on the sides.... this past weekend after launching I was waiting for my wife to come down the dock... as she does a small 19 footer flashes by in the no wake zone aND comes into the dock real hot with a boat full of 20 somethings... I was irritated.. then I see my wife jump over to where the boat was trying to dock way too fast... she grabs one of the ropes quick ties it to a cleat and uses her foot to keep the boat from hitting the dock. I said.. humm.. that was bad ass... I find out when I pick her up from the dock the kids know nothing of boating and they think one of their friends tore his bicep from trying to wake board and being pulled out of the water too fast... they had ems coming to the dock to check on him and he was obviously hurting... I showed them how to make a quick sling out of their shirts so he doesn't move it by reflex... point of the story..... my wife rocks!!!
