Small box Anchor is a perfect fit in the AR240 locker

I cut the rubberized mats like they use in the bottom of the floor locker. I cut it to fit as it allows it to drain.

For protection around the top, I put some 1" Gorilla Tape around the edge and that's protected the opening pretty well.

As a side note, last season I had a couple of times when the small box slipped on me in the wind. This was on a sandy bottom. I attributed two possible factors to this: 1). the 242 has a large sail area; or 2) wave action may have been lifting the bar (and thus part of the Box Anchor) up a bit (this was with even 2.5:1 scope. Rather then buy a new anchor, at the beginning of the season I put about 8 feet of chain on the Box. The chain helped tremendously and that thing sticks on every throw.

That's it. you have to fold it down to fit it in the locker. I hung mine from the existing mounts with a piece of rebar I spray painted some truck bed liner onto.

Is this the anchor you're talking about? I need something different, the Danforth that it came with sucks (or I do) and can get it to hold....

They seem like good people, they are just down the street from my office.
I actually went in with cash and bought a shore spike and they gave me a discount and a free shirt.

When I first bought our boat I didn’t know anything about my box anchor, just used the factory one, I have since pulled the factory one and only use my box anchor and shore spike when needed.
