Hi all,

First thread here, thanks in advance.

I recently bought a 1997 Sea Ray Sea Rayder F16. Had great fun so far but after a 2 hour session on the water yesterday I noticed fuel sat in my engine bay.

I've sourced the leak as coming from the underside of the black box which I believe to be the sound attenuator assembly.

It feels as if the split line of the black sound attenuator assembly has been pried open in the past and this is where the fuel is leaking from, which is on the very underside of the assembly in the middle (hard to take pictures of). The split line can be seen in the photo below.

After a couple of hours on the water there was approximately 2 litres of fuel in the bottom of the engine bay.

I don't have any knowledge on the inside of the assembly and can't find any schematics online to help. Could this be a case of sealing the where the leak is, or would you know if this could just be the exit point of a leak further inside the assembly (making sealing a bad choice)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

my guess is you need to rebuild the carbs the hose is just a drain hose if fuel leaks out of a carb or if your reeds go bad and blow fuel out of the carbs.

I'm having this issue, has anybody confirmed how to solve it?
