Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a new AR190 but have a few questions.

1) I live in West Palm Beach. Can I find a new AR190? Ive heard due to Covid demand for boats is high.
2) I see they have list price of around 33k. What can I realistically expect to pay? 35? more? How bad is the markup? Guessing it's not possible to order it online and pay to ship/transport?
3) Should I wait for winter - are there sales or do the prices ever go down?
4) A have a small garage - what are the odds a dealership would try a test fit - pre-purchase?

Any dealer recommendations appreciated

Thanks

search the forum for heights and measurements. and i would think more than 35 prob 38. prep, freight, taxes etc.

If you're not desperate think about waiting till winter when the only guys out are fishing off shore in 6ft-8ft seas. Also, pick the coldest week in December, not that PB gets "cold" hahaha. MSRP plus any dealer prep but when I walk into a dealer I'm going to ask for a list of what exactly it is they do for that ridiculous prep fee. If its limited to washing (boat is brand new guys), checking the oil level and the tire pressure on the trailer, F@#$ that, I can do that. I want a complete systems check with their seal of approval that everything works....oh, and I'll be there watching the whole time.

Yes, I am that guy.

I do what I do when buying a car: I want your out-the-door price. I don't care what you paid for it or what bucket you put what fee in. I care how much I pay total. I compare that against what I get from other dealerships and go from there.

If I get to closing and your number does not match what you gave me as the out the door price, I walk away and go to the next lowest person.

Makes things much easier...

Hi....I have an AR190 and you need to have about a 10' opening to get it in your garage. My house has 2 style carriage doors and I hate that I can't get it in my garage. I keep it fully enclosed in at a storage site.

You can modify the tower limiting cables and get it in a standard 7ft opening. I did this to my '17 AR190 within minutes of getting it home (rain was coming and I wanted the boat in the garage before the skies opened up!)

Here's how ->https://jetboaters.net/threads/how-to-get-your-2016-ar192-or-ar195-in-a-garage-less-than-7.10369/

In May of 2017, I paid $30k OTD with tax/title/fees/etc. Had an offer for payoff around the middle of last summer in the height of COVID times. $28k at the time. I would expect a '21 model to be around $35-$38k OTD with prep and fees, and maybe some accessories thrown in....Assuming you can find one.

Great little boats. Easy and cheap to own/store/trailer/operate. They're also dead simple to work on, and subsequently have very high reliability.

There is no way an AR190 requires a 10’ door. Sure maybe if you keep the tower up but it’s meant to be collapsed to fit in most standard 7’ doors.

I agree...My boat with the tower down is approx. 87”. My door opening is 81”...So I have rented indoor storage as well. Tower up its 10’ 3”....(2021 212SE)

I have a 2019 AR190 and it fits inside a garage with the 7ft tall door. Maybe he was saying 10ft for the width, idk.

Idk either. Width doesn’t exceed 8.5” legal limit so not sure where the 10’ is coming from.

Actually, when my tower is down its 84” not 87”. The opening of my garage door is only 81” high, although the ceiling is 96”...Bummer

Sorry for the confusion....yes, I am talking about the opening width. I have 2 doors....so they are not wide enough to get mine I. The garage. I think mine measures 102" from wheel to wheel. I will triple check and repost.

Probably the width. There’s those 2 car garages that have a divider wall in them. Maybe that’s the issue he’s describing.
