I just installed a set of Thrust Vector XV fins on my 2017 AR210 and I'm having a hard time with it spraying all over like an old jet ski. It does it constantly below 6-7mph. It's kind of embarrassing. I sprayed a couple on the dock before I realized it was doing it. It sprays surfers right in the face until they are up and you get up to speed then it stops. I email the company about it but no response yet so I'm checking in here. I tried searching about it and it seems like it was a problem with the initial release them it was fixed. Any ideas? I took some pics but it's hard to tell how big the spray is in the pics. It shoots about a good 5-10ft behind the boat.

From what I understand, Will, the owner, is very responsive and you can call them direct without having to wait for an email response.

Do you have a photo of your install? I believe if you install the crossbar upside down, it can result in spray like that. The XVs shouldn't be doing that.

I can snap a pic later. I'm at work for the next 14hrs. I'm positive I followed the directions to a t. The crossbar is upside down like a "frowny face" per the instructions. When I look at pics on the website, it looks the same.

Dude's on vacation. Probably won't answer till next week. But I'm sure he'll answer

I do t see any issues at first glance with the installation. It is uncommon to see a rooster tail on a 2017. Spray in the face of tubers is very common with or without Thrust Vectors. Surfing is also had to do with or without Thrust Vector XV. Thrust Vector Wake is the only fin product to address surf wave cleanup.

Call me on Friday and we can discuss. 8508671410.

Above 7mph it goes away and then it's the same jet wash it's always had prior to installing the fins. I wasn't expecting that to go away, but I also wasn't expecting it to get worse. Do you know if the bolts that attach the fins to the bucket are ok to use with just the bucket? I think I threw out the stock hardware and I want to take the fins off before I head out for the 4th if July. It'll be packed on the lake and I don't want to be spraying people while idling through the crowds of boats. Thanks for responding and any pointers.

Here is a quick video of the spray pattern to see if it helps.

What are those extra brackets for on your swim ladder? Possible that's causing the drag/spray?

They are brackets for the Wake Wedge. They've been on the boat for awhile and never caused any problems. The only thing I've changed recently is adding the Thrust Vectors.

Can you take a picture of it with the shift lever in forward position? It almost looks like your reverse bucket might not be coming out of the output stream of the pump causing the spray. Just a hypothesis

You mean that reverse bucket situation to be due to TVs?
I doubt it.

It was hard to tell from the picture but the port reverse bicket rod looked bent

I'm not totally sure, but I'm finding scratch marks on the inboard fins that line up with the ladder and Wake Wedge brackets. I researched the Thrust Vectors and Wake Wedge to make sure they play together but I didn't look into the universal Wedge. I doubt the brackets are different but they are definitely hitting each other when turning. I'm wondering if this is part of the reason the fins are sticking and causing the rooster tail. Doesn't explain the rooster tail when I'm cruising straight forward though because there is no interference then.

Do the springs feel pretty tight?
Looks like it is time to have someone else steer while you take a peek underneath to see where exactly the water is coming from... maybe a waterproof phone and a selfie stick?

Looks like the port side, left fin is hanging down at an angle further. Could that bolt be missing or installed incorrectly? Will points out in his video to make sure the bolt is seated correctly through the gate. Maybe it's not all the way through?
