Tullytown Cove, PA

Managed to get on the water yesterday though it was late. By the time I got to the cove, it was empty... Might venture south tonight if I head down at all. Still deciding.. Still surprised with the high debris level at the ramp.

Yeah we were out, left by 4 I think, the wind started to really kick up

I should be on the water around 1-2 tomorrow. Planning to relax in the cove for a bit, then grab some dinner in Bristol. Sucks this weekend's weather has turned to shit.

Wonder how much crap is floating in the river as a result from all this rain..... Gonna feel great getting back out later next week!

Drove past the sandbar on 295 yesterday, water was glass but you could see all the floating debris from the highway - crazy.

Good luck! Forecast looks dicey, not much rainfall accumulation, but who knows. Hoping for a dryish day so I can clean my boat and maybe get my transducer install done before the weekend. Next weekend is looking great.

Wasn't too bad out there....lunch at Curtains the into the cove for an hour...
My oldest even jumped in the water!

Nice! Ended up being a great afternoon - we went down to sweetwater marina but didnt bring the boat because it was threatening more rain. Couldn't have been nicer, lol.

It rained in Willow grove for about 35 minutes and came down hard but after that is was a good afternoon. Wishing I would have been out on the water!

Heading to the Chesepeake Inn on Saturday! First long ride of the year! Hoping the trim tabs help, if/where it gets rough. Anyone make that journey yet? Its a great ride, and about as far as I'm willing to go for a day trip.

Haven't done that trip yet, but thinking about taking it sometime this summer.

Im doing that trip over the summer...I managed to get out yesterday...nice day on the river, lots of police boats out, i wonder if they are still searching for the one missing guy?

I saw on the news the coast guard called off the search. Maybe just a recovery operation at this point. They could also be getting ready for the tall ship festival in Philly. Directing and managing the increased traffic flow.

How long of a trip is it each way?

Its about 2 hours each way. I stop at Philly Marine Center for fuel on the way down, usually stop in along 495 for a pee brake, quick swim if its hot and to crack a drink, and we always fuel up at Schaeffers before docking at the Inn. So, the trip down is a little longer. On the way home, we only stop once, usually at the south sandbar. I like to be there before its dark out.

This anyone here? Wind is nuts today otherwise I’d try to anchor closer.
