Hey guys,

Thinking of pulling the trigger on pair of Seablaze 3 blue lights. Wonder if anyone has them on here? Suggest for/against? I'll be mounting on a 2006 AR210, I think the curvature of the transom will have them angled down, is that ok?

Is it worth the extra coin to go with the SeablazeX?

Wanna make sure I do this right if I'm drilling holes in the boat. I boat in the Carolinas so, our water isn't the clearest.

Thanks!

Man, those look great! Have you had your boat in a lake? ie something not as clear as Bimini? How's it perform then?

If you don't mind me asking l, how much were the 3 lights?

Of course the lights don't shine near as far in Lake Murray as they do in Bimini but on the lake I have not seen anything better unless they have more lights than 3. The price on the website is the same as I paid, $190 per light. The one down side to these light is their size, they are physically bigger than most other lights which could be an issue for installation.

If you had to guess, are they half as bright in Murray? 1/4? Think it's still worth the $600 investment to put on? I'll probably never have in salt water or clear water like Bimini.

If I had to put a number on the difference between Bimini marina water and Lake Murray, I would say about 1/2.

For me, I don't do much night boating on the lake maybe 2 or 3 times a year, so if I didn't go to Bimini numerous times I probably would not put the lights on my boat, but that is me. I look at the lights like having a 4x4 truck, 99% of the time it stays in 2 wheel drive but when you need 4 wheel drive it is sure nice to have.

We boat at night most weekends in the summer. I have an Abyss light which is way way more money than $190 per light. We like using them when we are swimming at night, and anyone who hasn't swam behind a boat with them loves them. It's a definite "cool factor" thing, but we enjoy them. Depending on the lake condition, we can get about 25-30 away from the boat and still see the light on our toes.

I'm looking at adding the Ocean LED this spring. My second choice is the Life Form LED. I know the Ocean is a little more expensive but from the research ive done they are top notch. I like the Seablaze 3's as well but I am looking to either go red in color or full RGB. I will post pics when I decide on which I choose. If any one has any feedback about other products I am all ears. Ive looked up most of the avail products out there but maybe missed something,,,,thanks

I have the 3 of the Seablaze 3's blue/white I'm very happy with them in our muddy lake. That said I would have bought the Seablaze X's if they were available at the time. RGB would be awesome but the only ones I have seen are way out of my price range.

I am most likely going to suck it up and purchase the expensive RGB....it only hurts for a minute right ? lol

I would need to see how it's constructed and the materials use. It sounds like the lense is made of plastic. If your drilling holes below the water line I would make sure your installing high quality gear and not something that might not last the life of your boat.

I have purchased ligths from Diablo Royal, and I can tell you they made out of good quality materials. I used them in saltwater environment and they have hold up pretty well.
