I'm looking for a wakeboard tower for tubing as well as wakeboarding anyone out there had any good or bad experience I can pull from. Thanks for your input!!!
jim
I bought an Aerial Ascent tower from h20sportswarehouse that was pretty inexpensive ($1K with racks). If you can find a used tower it will likely be less money. I would not plan to use any tower for tubing on the LS2000 given the thin fiberglas (even with reinforcement). I do like my tower a lot since it provides more space in the boat given that all boards are on the racks, vests are clipped to the tower arms, etc.
I bought the Aerial airborne last year. and installed without any issues. love it.
i used 3/8 thick cutting boards and heated them to mold with boat shape, applied 5200adhesive, then i applied wood backing and large washer. see pics.
i dont pull tubers from the tower due to its very dangerous. pics attached
FYI for anyone adding a tower. Please apply a grease compound or never/ anti-sieze compound on all stainless bolts and nuts. When in the process of tightening the SS bolts it can generated heat and will cease the two together with no option but to cut them off with a cutting wheel and start over. Lesson learned!!
