Waiting on our 2016 195 hoi , passing time by ordering stuff for the new boat . Any info on ballast setup for a 195 hoi without factory wake blast system would be great. lbs and ballast bag location ? I've been wake boarding for 20 + years , but not familiar with wakesurfing setup due to always owning a stern drive boat . Thanks for any setup info !

Anyone surf behind a scarab ?

I don't have expariance , but what I would do is get some totes on the rear swim deck and fill with water , that how we started and it's cheap and let's you see if it will work with out spending to much money !!

Since our boats are about the same size, if you wanted to get a few bags to play around with, here's what I've been doing;

I only set up for regular. I put a 350 lb bag under the port seat, and a 540 directly on top of that same seat. That seems to be the best so far, especially when I don't have many people in the boat. I have another 350 and 540 that I plan on trying on different places this summer. When I was first setting things up I had the 350 under the seat, 540 on top, 350 on the swim deck on the port side, and 540 in the ski locker. The wave looked really good... until I tried pulling someone. Then it was not nearly as nice. I probably had too much in the front.
