Hi,
I’m looking for advice on getting better surfing results on my FSH 190 Sport.
I purchased the Yamaha wake enhancer and 2 ballast bags. (I modified the enhancer to fit my 2017).
It produces a nice smooth wake but not very tall.
We can get up but need to hold the rope as the wave does not have enough “push”.

Also, with 400# ballast and a full tank of gas, the engine can only make 10 mph full throttle. Which is ok as the wake is nice at that speed.
I’m looking for advice on improving the wake to allow the kids to drop the rope.

(Details: thrust vector installed, Ribbon delete complete)
Other threads talk about 800# of ballast on other 19’ Yamahas.
Any advice and guidance is appreciated.
Thanks!

Thinking of doing the same on a FSH 190. How did it work out for you?

Just ok.
The kids really got into surfing so I sold the FSH and got a Nautique.
Now I have lots of experience with ballast and wake shaping.

I’m happy to share my knowledge with you for the FSH.

I'd be very interested, thanks! Read some of the other threads about wake surfing, but most were for the bigger models. Looking at a FSH 190 now, for fishing, but if we could all wake surf behind it, that would seal the deal :) What was your experience? (BTW, my boys and I are all over 6' and weigh 180-190 lbs.) Thanks!

There is so much to say, a phone call would be best.
Do you want to set a time to speak?
I am in Boston.
Thx
TS

Hi Tom: Thanks - yes, I would appreciate speaking with you! Looking at 190FSH this afternoon, and primarily want to fish, but my kids and wife all want to wake surf as well. ( btw - Kids are between 6 and 6-3 and 160 - 190 lbs and all have had experience at wake surfing.)

Will be in car at 2:30 PDT today and available then if that might work for you?

Will

Hi Will,

Yes, I will call you then.

Thanks,
TS
