Last season I got a rope sucked on the pump and the rope was so hard that it broke the hull, I was far from the coast and when I cut the rope to take it out, the boat started to fill with water, started the engine and finally I got to house, slow but steady, took the boat to repair, once repaired, the pump is not getting the same power as before I assume the wear ring and the impeller are shot, what are you using? yamaha or aftermarket?

Don't assume anything check the clearance between the impeller and the wear ring easy enough to do using a feeler gauge do your research on that in the search section

You're right, I will take measurements this weekend and report back!
