Heading to Buggs Saturday morning.. Weather down here has been awesome..
Safe boating folks.

Re: Three day weekend - Day one Lake Ann Va in the books....Great day in the 80's. Hardly anyone on the lake, we owned it today! Looking forward to tomorrow to be even better!

Oh and I removed a few of those unwanted stickers today.......

Lake day today!
Allatoona will be busy today so we will most likely stay on the Little River/Sweetwater end.
Tonite we can be found chilling out front of the Little River Grill listening to whatever beer band is rocking the outdoor stage.
I had planned to get out for some solo float time yesterday but between the yard and playing chauffeur for the kids after school, OY!, never even saw the boat.
See you on the lake!

We are headed out early tomorrow for Morehead City. Going to Shackleford Banks where the wild horses are, the to the Lighthouse at Cape Lookout. Probably follow it up with dinner on the waterfront. Pics and video to follow.

Just got done with 9 hours of pressure washing. Now to do another 7 or so at the in laws.
How's that for a weekend?

If all goes my way Sunday I'll get to spend half of my day on Lake Zumbro

Great day on Allatoona, very crowded so we cruised to a cove across from Sweetwater COE and anchored for the afternoon. No water sports, too much boat traffic so lots of swimming and relaxing. The family set me adrift with the necessary rations.

Thanks for the reminder to see if the blue angels will be performing at fleet week this year. They didn't last year due to budget cuts.
@Ronnie Last I heard they absolutely are back this year! I would love to get our boats together and see the show from the water! Let me know!

Edit, sadly my friend told me that was LAST YEAR :-(

Here's some of what we have to put up with, boating on the Allegheny.

A couple weeks ago they decided to work on the locks, so people found out their boats were on the ground via Facebook:

If it's not too low, they've probably opened the floodgates and it's too high.

Very frustrating to have this happen throughout our very limited summer... even more so when you know that a lot of it is caused by human decisions. Due to the reservoir over 100 miles away, a couple nasty thunderstorms somewhere up in New York state will likely screw us up down here. THIS is what stops me from buying riverfront property and keeping my boat there.
