I have had the dream of becoming a pilot since a young age. I retire at 49 (only 13 more years, haha) and, at that point want to fly for fun! My wife thinks im crazy but oh well. I spend alot of time over at our Air Operations unit at work cause I'm nosey. Is that too late in life to become a pilot?Been flying for a living for going on 38 years, 3 years as an flight instructor and charter flying, 10 years flying private company jets and turboprops, and 25 years now with American. 7 to go if I can make it that long without some medical thing taking me out of the game.
Sounds good. I will start lessons next January (6 kids going 10 different directions so have to plan ahead!) and go on from there.... Thanks for the advice.Never too late! But it is one if those skills that must be maintained because like the sea, aviation is terribly unforgiving of complacency or mistakes. So if you choose to learn, plan on budgeting how you plan to remain proficient from the beginning. And them keep on flying!
If I made that kind of money, I would own a big ass cabin cruiser and wakeboard boatI help manage people's money. I do all the investment analysis, modeling, trading, and support for multiple financial planners, totaling over $100 million in assets.
