What do you tow your 190 with?

I tow with my SX190 with my 2009 2WD Honda Pilot Touring. It is well under the 3500 lb towing capacity.

Hey there! I noticed your post here about towing with your Pilot. I have a 2019 Pilot Touring 2WD and considering a 2019 SX190/195. I wanted to ask if you have experienced any issues towing and did you get the trans cooler installed on your Pilot? I live in South Carolina and will be traveling on flat surfaces mostly.

Thanks!

@zcoleman one important thing to keep in mind is that the manufacturer's warranty may require that you install the intercooler if you're going to tow anything at all. A co-worker of mine had an after-market hitch installed on his new Odyssey for a bike rack. He took it into the dealer at some point to check a transmission noise under warranty but was denied because he hadn't installed the intercooler--obviously not needed in his case but still.

It's worth giving a couple of Honda service dealers a call and checking, especially since you'll be under warranty for a while.

@IvanRZB Noted! I want to at least get a quote from Honda regarding the trans cooler just in case.

I tow my 19 190 with a Odyssey (same drivetrain) and put a transcooler on it in the spring. It was about $500 installed. Probably could get it cheaper at a transmission shop, but I didn't want to play.

@mwalker4 just curious was that $500 installation by a Honda dealer?

Just picked up this 2014 AR192. I can tow with either my truck (07 5.4L F150)truck with boat.jpg

or the wifes 2011 Jeep GC (Hemi 4x4). Both of them handle very well! Never towed a trailer with brakes, and those surge brakes are awesome! feels like nothing is back there when you hit the brakes.

Your F150 will have no trouble towing that boat. I have the same truck pulling an AR240 and it’s no problem. The 5.4 has plenty of power to pull mine 80mph down the highway with ease.

:Welcome: to the best darn forums on the interweb! Nice looking rig there. You may want to add your location so in the event you need help there could be someone local, there is a member map available that's worth a look at.

Definitely get the trans cooler installed and I did this for both a 2004 acura mdx and our now 2017 Acura MDX. The 2004 I installed myself using aftermarket along with rear suspension air bags and for the 2017, I had it delivered with the towing package (trans cooler). Both towed my 2000 LS2000 and the 2017 now tows my 2018 AR210. Great tow vehicles IMO if you keep it under the tow rating (5000 lbs).
