2016 Tesla X, 800-900 Watts/Mile, 90kw battery, Range is 70-80 miles, Supercharge time 45-60 min.,
cost to charge $0.00 (perk came with 2016 promotion). I'm live near the boat ramps and rarely go beond
the max range. I can say that I have owned 6.2 & 6.5 liter suburbans, 2001 v10 F250 and a 2011 3.5L F150.
I have towed boats over 10,000lbs . While towing my 210FSH recently a passenger commented that the Tesla doesn't tow the boat it yanks the boat. The torque and control while towing is amazing. As battery improvements grow and trucks become battery electric, the towing landscape will change.

Keeping it close to 80 on the Interstate I got around 9 or 10. Way back kept it at 70 and got 13. Only brought it home to wax and clean it. Only tow it now to pull it out to get gas, the $1.40 per gallon difference justifies taking the truck up there when we need gas.

If I tow anything I am typically never in a hurry, the boat is way easier to tow than our 33 ft. camper.

60-65 mph gets 14-15
70-75 mph gets 12-13

Funny thing is my mpg is the same no matter what trailer I am pulling.... I believe the computer changes the gearing/shift points as soon as I plug in the trailer lights. Single axle utility trailer w/ a light load gets the same mpg as when I pull my 16' dump trailer loaded w/ 16K lbs.......

I had to stop for gas on a 180 mile haul because I only have a 24 gallon tank. I could see the needle moving on the gas meter.

2012 Tundra with 10 ply Hankook tires.

Empty- 14.4 on highway (70-75), 12 around town
Towing- 12-13 on highway (70-75), 10-11 around town

My favorite vehicle was the 99 three quarter ton suburban with the 6.5 but I have to say that the best one so far has been this Tundra. just wished I didn't have to stop at every gas station I see. Been looking at the new Ford Expedition but may hold out for next gen Sequoia.

I've always heard that toyota V8's make great power, but drink gas like a sailor drinks alcohol

2018 F150 3.5 ecoboost - I average around 9 mpg @ 75 mph.

Without towing, I average around 19 mpg @ 75 mph. Drops to about 17 mpg at 81-83 mph.

2kwik4u- Unfortunately you correct. They are pretty tough on gas. I was a suburban guy for 14 years and that is exactly the same mileage I got with them with the exception of the 3/4 ton diesel. I used to do 19 mpg on the diesel and 16-17 pulling a 19' boat.

125,000 miles on my Tundra and I haven't touched a thing. I did all the fluids and plugs last month so they say I am good for another 120,000.

Not to hijack the thread but there was never a time I could do that with a chevy suburban. Seemed like I was always making my loan payment and a maintenance payment. Loved the ones I had but Chevy just doesn't have the quality control in place like Toyota does.

Seems GM is hit and miss on quality. I've been a GM guy for decades and have "toyota like" quality records on all of them. Currently at 81k on my Sierra and it's had just a few minor issues, and one major one. A/C went out at 70k or so. Extended warranty covered $3,500 in repairs (more than just A/C) for a $100 deductible. Had an '03 Yukon before this. Lost a blower motor resistor, a front wheel bearing, and an instrument panel in the 180k miles I drove it, otherwise it was normal maintenance (tires/pads/oil/etc)

I like the reliability of the 'Yotas, I just can't get myself to like the interiors on them. Was almost dead set I was going to replace my Yukon with a Tacoma. Finally found an exterior I liked, the interior wasn't terrible and there was a super-awesome lease deal going on. Test drive didn't even make it off the lot. That seating position was way off for me.

2004 Ford Excursion 4x4 PSD. With 10,000 lb 35 foot travel trailer in tow about 12mpg. Truck was bullet proofed and has quite a few upgrades and a custom towing tune.
