Editted: Regarding @OCMD 's comment regarding "TOTALLY AWESOME" Cleaner.

I also had written up this wonderful product also some time ago. Available @ virtually each & every Dollar General store for $3 a bottle.
This functions as already detailed. Also EXCELLENT for cleaning up the "engine compartment" on bass boats
This product comes with the "
Mikey Likes" 4-AAAA Recommendation (and money back guarantee).
Merry Christmas to all, Mikey Lulejian

@MikeyL are you saying that JJV's Best can be purchased at Dollar General? If I paid $50 for something I could have paid $3 for then I must be auditioning for a government job :)

@cbus : Hi there. Glad you asked. First, let me say I found this thread you started to be incredibly interesting. GREAT photos also. I was really impressed. My comments were made in regard's to @OCMD 's post regarding Totally Awesome cleaner. I edited my post above to be more clear. Thanks for showing us some really heavy duty cleaner !
Best Wishes to you, and most Merry Christmas Holiday to you & yours - Mikey Lulejian - Lake Oconee, GA

Sorry to dig up an old thread... But I'm considering wet slipping this season but I'm pretty OCD about keeping my boat looking brand new. And honestly after 3 seasons you'd still think it was on it's first season. Do your pumps look that bad after just one season of wet slipping? Mine look brand new and I'm wondering if I wet slip if I'm destined for them to look horrible even after using this JJV stuff?

I plan on giving this JJV a try this season. I have a couple water stains I couldn't get out last year. After using the JJV I'll throw a coat or two of rejex on the hull. I wonder if this stuff will stain the hydro-turf I have installed or if it'll be safe on the inside as well?

@GiddYupJoe - did you end up putting Rejex on your boat this year? If so, how did it do? I'm ordering some more of this JJV's best but may go the Rejex route if you thought it worked well.

Thanks cbus! I was ready to give up on ordering when I saw your link!

Or go cheap. As a reminder, this Totally Awesome stuff removes anything, and is about 3 bucks a gallon. Here, I'm using it on some mild stains around the jets. For tough stains, use it full strength, and you probably will have to wipe it off. I'm not sure if a pressure washer will take it off as I haven't tried. I will try next season, however. Motor home owners swear by this stuff. Takes the built up road grime right off.
Pay CLOSE attention to what @OCMD wrote for you !!!!!!
ANY thing else is a B-I-G waste of $$$.
Available ONLY @ Dollar General Stores.
Can be mixed in various concentrations. Keep changing YOURS up until you "dial in" the results you want.
Period.
Now ...........Y'yall go play nicely in the sandbox, ok ?

Ya know, @cbus, many of us wrote you the SAME information back in early DECEMBER, 2014, 9 months ago.
The good news is Totally Awesome still works just as well, and hasn't increased in price.
Hope you enjoy using some.

I keep my boat on a lift on the intra coastal, so I am fighting salt and other yuck issues.

When I've had my boat detailed, part of my long term maintenance approach, I was warned against strong detergents and solvents. Even salt away, a tsp solution, was discouraged outside the flush process.

The detail shop owner said these quick clean solutions quickly get through wax or polymer sealants and can damage gel coat.

Curious on other opinions. Lately, I've been using a small amount of west marine boat cleaner in a bucket with water. I still use a salt away spray and rinse of the hull, then a very weak solution for a rinse of the interior (always followed by fresh water rinse).
