XK Glow Trailer Lights

Why can't you just tap into the trailer harness running lights? LED's don' draw much juice.

I could have, but I didn't want to have to have the lights on to use the LED's. Just my personal preference.

Hey everyone. Wanted to follow up with you about these xkglow trailer lights. Really wanted to order them but amazon reviews are not good. I wanted to know how yours are holding up if you dont mind taking a minute of your time. Really would appreciate it. Thanks. Steve.

Steve, so far so good! I've used them a hand full of times each season, and they come on every time. I'm happy with them, haven't had any issues with these or my XKGlow lights installed in the cabin.

I ended up returning mine they seemed a little chintzy in the way the wires would have shown on the trailer it wouldn't of been up to my liking

Really really appreciate the feedback

I went the cheap route and bought LED strips and just tied them into the running lights on the trailer. They are amber so they are road legal, plus they look pretty cool at night so I didn't bother with any switching. I've dipped them in the water a dozen times now and they still work fine except for a few LED's that have died. You get what you pay for, but I'm fine with it until it gets much worse. Total cost was $16.00 (amazon) for the lights and some "borrowed solder and shrink tube from the office. I swapped out my tail lights to waterproof LED lights at the same time because I kept blowing bulbs when I would forget to unplug the old ones before launching or picking up. It's a good idea if you are going this route.
