Yamaha AR220 vs AR190 2023

I agree, get the 220. My wife and I bought a SX190 in 2019, great boat, but have been waiting for the right time to upgrade to at least 22, if not 25. Especially with our first kid coming in a few weeks.
i KNOW THAT THIS IS AN OLDER POST but i THOUGHT THAT i WOULD TRY:
what did you think of the SX190? do you still have it or did you move up?

Sorry for taking so long to respond, it has been a hectic first part of the year. We still have our 190SX, I would love to go with the 220, but just don't see it in the cards for us anytime soon. The SX190 is a great starter boat. If you have small lakes around you, or size limits, it would be great for those scenarios. For us, we are near Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, very few days that are calm enough for a 19ft boat. I grew up on a 17ft I/O, so when I went to 19ft so I thought that was a big step, but in hindsight, i'd go with at least a 22 if I was to do it all over again.

Appreciate your reply. I am on a large fresh water lake in Ontario Canada. I had a Four Winns H200 i/o before. There are times when the lake blows up and it wouldn't matter how large a boat. It can be brutal. I went with the SX190 instead of the SX195, mainly because I usually cruise around 22 - 25 mph. Top speed was not so much the issue, and premium fuel requirements did not help. The SX195 was a $15,000 premium, and to move up to a 22 footer, would probably have been over $40,000 or more. Too much at this time.
As well, the SX190 only has nine hours on it and a warranty until 2027.
Thank you for your feedback.

What lake are you on? I usually go to Lake Nipissing during the summer for a week.
