Yamaha SX230 Wire Harness

Hi all,

I have a 2005 Yamaha SX230 that is in need of a wire harness - part # 99999-03770-00. I have put a lot of money into this boat and now cannot find this part anywhere. Any ideas, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

What harness is it? I have an 08 parts boat, maybe it would work?

I believe it is the Engine Wire Harness #1, but I am confirming with the dealer now.

Do you have the HO motors or the 140hp motors?

I do not have the HO.

You're one of the first I've seen in 15 years that needs a wiring harness, what happened to require this?

Also, what was the outcome of your no-start issue?

Original issue was a rock stuck which didn’t allow the engine to turnover. Did not see it until the boat was out of the water.

The Yamaha repair shop indicates there is a short in the wire, sometimes causing the motor to not spark each time. When it does start, engine runs fine.

Completely different part numbers. The 05.

I would think someone could figure out which wire is shorted and repair it, it’s not like it burnt up and is destroyed.

It is the same harness as used in the 06 and this and my and @Scottintexas 's Orange 07. it changes in 08.





I do not know the difference between 07 and 08 as they are the same engines.
