I am a police officer and I was recently transferred off the road from patrol. I am now a detective in the computer crime unit which is attached to our major crime division. I do all the search warrants on phones and computers. I collect all the video evidence from security cameras at crime scenes. I am pretty much just the geek squad for the department. Anything dealing with technology goes through my office.

It's really cool reading what everyone does on here!
My answer has changed again, right now I am a stay-at-home dad....I'll look for a new job once school starts back up.

It's nice being 40 years old and having enough retirement money coming in that I don't have to scramble or stress out about finding a job right away.

So when this thread started I was Active duty Air Force, then retired and started working for a DOD contractor (which was an awesome job) then my wife,who is active duty, got an assignment to San Antonio so I had to quit.

I met a guy that offered me a job selling insurance, so if all else fails I may try that to see how I like it.

^ yeah classic. I'm not sure how I feel about the new paint schemes on cruisers these days. Some towns are are all silver, some navy blue, some all black or all white... but when a kid or grownup looks for a police car they look for a black n white. Instantly recognizable.

And it's more fun quoting the blues brothers in one.

Look up my department... town of Wake forest nc and tell me what u think... I like them but they Def are not black and whites!

Haha, it isnt mine, it is a vehicle that my agency seized and instead of auctioning it, they made it kind of a Public Relations vehicle. It's kind of like DARE, but not really.
