@Julian That's awesome. It was such a pleasure to finally meet you up in person, you and your brother. I think Alister thought you well , he seems like an older brother I always wanted!
We were crossing a bit faster and seeing mostly 30s, with several stops and all. I admit I sped up a little bit towards the end (but still under 40) as I did not want to hold @tim h back in Harbor Towne - as he was ferrying Kate and Gosia, our youngest. So we ended up making pretty good time with @Amar Nanduri, @Jadams0527, @fromrio, and (I think) @jayasaki138.
I must admit I cheated a bit - and used my tabs throughout.
It was a pleasure seeing so many Jetboater's in action during the crossing. It is pure poetry in motion. Trim tabs will certainly be on my list of todo for next year. I will post videos of the return crossing.

The trim tabs make a huge difference. Hopefully Trudy will post footage she took from @tim h boat. I had several other also remark on how much smoother my 240 was riding. Almost zero time up in the air.
EDIT: not to mention my AR was also the most aerodynamic of the pack, lol.
We made it across today in a cool 2.5 hours. Dodged a thunderstorm, but other than that, completely uneventful! Thank you to everyone who helped us and made our trip one to remember!!
Freaking one hour before reaching home... the cover is one year old! Wtf?? I dif stuff a pool noodle on yhe windshield. but anybody know a 1800# for the yamaha cover warranty department???
We made it home this morning about 0600. I stopped and slept in a rest area for about an hour. We tried to get a room but there was a truck fest going on and the rooms were $250 for one night. I figured a quick nap and I would be good. @blacksapphirez , I didn't even put my cover on. I didn't want to get the dried salt all over it. Luckily, we didn't have any issues with the trailer or boat others than being filthy. @DiverB, I use a pool noodle cut into various sizes to keep the anchor from moving at all. Sorry to see that you have so much damage.

thanks. I have a good fiberglass guy who is honest and fair. I'll get it reglassed. After seeing all the new AR240's with dual captain chairs and the hindged seats, I'll likely trade it in this year or next for a new one
next year I will pad the crap out of the anchor locker
I like the pool noodle mod - I'll be stopping by Dollar General on my way home to do this mod before we go.
(just hoping the return weather starts to improve - 60% chance of thunderstorms)
Just arrived home today after a 15 hour drive. Relativly safe besides the thunderstorms, climbing a crosswalk and clipping a gas station with my trailer. It all part of the plan more or less LOL.

I was admiring on the ride back how smooth your boat crossing was while mine was jumping like a ping pong ball. I still have a lot to learn... more time on the water for me
