Yesterday was the first day I have actually tried to surf on it after getting it back from the break-in service. Only had one person with me yesterday and taught him how to safely drive the boat without running me over lol but we gave it a try. He’s a newb at pulling people and I’m still a newb learning this boat and how to setup a wave so wasn’t the best scenario but we still had fun before storms cut the day short. I need to work on my stance so that I apply my body weight where it needs to be. Looking at the pics my buddy took I’m still learning too far back and my front foot is placed too far out from the wave. Practice makes perfect though and at times I could feel some push so I know I just need to work on my technique and of course have more people or ballast on board to make the sweet big wave this boat is known to make.

I mainly post my pics of the boat in my dedicated thread to not litter the jetboat forum with them . There are plenty of pics in the thread if you want to check it out. I don’t know what settings my buddy had going on with my boat but I’ve made a bigger wave with just myself so I know it can be larger. He was hugging off to the right side of the channel and I know it isn’t deep there to make a good consistent wave. Need to be in at least 15-20 feet deep and we were probably riding in 13-18 ft of water so I’m sure that had some affect. On the plus side it was also my first time to ride on my new Doomswell Nubstep and that board will rip it up! I did some slashes back and forth into the wave from out I. The flats and it rips real hard when you want to. Much better board than my Liquid Forcd Fish or Hyperlite Broadcast and can’t wait to get some more ride times on it.

I’m leaning way too far back here effectively acting like a brake so yea my stance sucks for now lol...

This hurts my soul. I miss TN soooo very very much. I'm in Houston now where the water is brown and shallow. We used to take the boat and 5th wheel to Douglas every year.

Sorry for the pain, I completely understand it. The blue water there is much nicer than the green water we often get around KY.

I'm in Houston so out on Clear Lake which is the opposite of clear. I've never taken the AR out far enough to get to blue water. I think I have to get almost 10 miles off shore before I hit it and that's a lot of big blue in a little boat.

How often do you go to Raystown? We live near Harrisburg and that's our favorite lake. I've been looking for fellow jetboater's on the lake. Probably going to be there this weekend.
