I’m curious if the boat you own now you would buy again, or would you go a different route.

Are you happy with what you got?

Sure would! Great question. I'd love to pick up a new 2021 223VRX with twin 300s. It would have to be blue for sure. Dream, dream, dream..(I think that an oldies song, LOL)

Yeppers! But I would go with the 195 (instead of the 165) now after I've seen the maneuverability and draft is pretty much the same. I needed a maneuverable, and shallow draft boat for extremely tight areas on our lake system. At the time, I didn't realize how these conditions applied to all Scarabs. But yes, overall, happy with my purchase.

I wouldn't buy anything other than (a), (my) Chaparral again. And the ONLY reason to do so would be for some of the new features they've added, including the twin 300 engines. Through the ensuing years I added trim features that were released on the newer models as the hull and interior have stayed the same, but it's not quite cost effective to add the desired steering wheel radio controls.

242? Absolutely. My only regret is not enough time on it. :). That said my primary lake is pretty woody/trashy in the spring so I miss a couple early spring weekends waiting for it to clear up. If I had an outboard I would not miss those weekends. However, if I had an OB I wouldn’t have the fantastic swim/back area which is where we spend most of our time while on the water the rest of the 4 months of prime lake season.

Yes I would buy the 2020 AR210 again at the price point that I got it at. If it was full MSRP, knowing how we use it now, I would probably opt for either the 212s or the 250.

It is a fantastic boat, nothing bad to say about it.

Bought my 2016 242 Memorial Day weekend, 2016... paid MSRP, but the additional YES warranty and extra equipment, anchor, fire extinguisher, cover, etc. Saved me about $1000. No regrets and would do it again! Since it was the first year for all the new features, used was not an option.

Funny, which boat? Yamaha...Yes, for price paid and continued low cost of ownership. Beneteau...Yes, even though we paid a couple thousand more than we wanted to. O'Day Javelin...Meh, but it was cheap and turned out to be a fun trailer sailor to extend the season. Zodiac Aluminum rib/15hp OB...Yes, fun dinghy that planes nicely.

If I could go back in time - yes - absolutely. I would definitely buy my 212x again. We love our boat.
However - I now find myself looking hard at Cobalts. If I were to buy a new boat today - it would be a Cobalt R3 WSS or a Cobalt CS23 Surf.

Those are sharp looking. They look like true surf boats.

We are very happy with our boat. For the price and what we got I feel that it was a good deal and would recommend the model to anyone.

Must haves: Super sound system, dual batteries, battery charger, trim tabs, GPS touch screen, maintenance package. These are all things you can work into a deal along with life jackets, ropes/dock lines, shirts, hats and floatable key fob.

My lake is overrun with high end wake boats - mostly MC’s and Nautiques. But the Cobalts just keep grabbing my attention. I find them to be so classy looking. And much to my surprise - now the wife and kids look for and point out the WSS’s. Their interest excites me. So we’ll see.

I would absolutely buy another Sea Doo again! but they made that a little difficult by cutting their line of boats 😂 Ive always thought their 2011-2012 WAKE series were the best looking boats on the water. They have aged well in my opinion. if only i had an extra 20K last year LOL

Yes would buy same boat again. 2010 AR240, 400ish hours. Bought new and have taken good care of it. People always ask if it is new. Family always has great time with it.

Yep got my 2018 195 right before covid hit with a year and a half of YES warranty left and and a premium mooring cover thrown in for 32K with 30hrs on it. But I wouldn't pay anymore than that for a 19' ft boat no matter what the year or style.

Since my 2020 195S is the biggest boat I can fit in my garage and it is really nice, yes! If I had a bigger garage, I'd would opt for a 25 footer!
