Happy to share our fam finally received our 212XD here in NH. Got it in Friday, couple defects from manufacturer but they’re minor and will be fixed later.

Got in on the lake Saturday and spent 6 hours playing and relaxing. I’ll post a longer ins and outs with this boat when I get time (because I haven’t seen many 212X posts), but I absolutely love it.

The Drive technology is WORTH IT. I can’t overstate how much easier it is to use Drive for slow speed maneuvering.

The wake created is large enough to surf but needs the booster to clean it up.

If you have any questions about this model, post them here!

Nice! We picked up a 212XE in February, and love it! We’ve been out 6 times already. The bilge area is still spitting out manufacturing debris every time I unscrew the drain plug. I swear someone must have dropped an entire bag of stainless steel screws when they were building it. I’m going to take out all the drain plugs, and try to flush it with a hose. Other than the little chunks of aluminum grindings, what looks like fiberglass insulation fibers. and enough screws to stock a hardware store (9 so far), everything seems to be fine. For my family, it’s the perfect sized boat. The wind was about 12 knots, and gusting over 20 today, and the waves on the lake had whitecaps. I was able to run between 22 and 25 mph without any awful hull slapping. (I hate the sound of fiberglass hulls pounding waves hard). I pretty much launch it, park the truck, and load it back on the trailer at the end of the day myself. My wife is starting to get really good at assisting with the docking. Zero dock mishaps so far, and she’s not nervous about it anymore. She hops right off, and keeps it off the dock like a pro already.

So happy for you. I’m going out tomorrow for the second time. I only have 3.5 hours on my boat. So far its just been me, launching solo. Hopefully I can train my wife to back the trailer in or drive the boat. We’ll see. Congrat on that beautiful boat. Enjoy!

Really nice boat..Congrats!
I like the black hull, the way the cover comes up high on the tower to keep debris and water from intruding. Glad to see they put the tongue jack on the drivers side, no stepping over tongue to crank. The swivel racks are nice...are the forks (1) wakesurf (1) wakeboard?
Welcome to the 212x Family..Happy Boating!

Sharp looking float toy!

I'll be tuned in for your full review. Really haven't heard much feedback about the DRiVE system yet.

Do you trailer with the bimini stowed like that? I usually put mine forward and strap it to the tower. Never thought about leaving both rear poles attached and leaving it off the tower.

Congrats! Sweet choice of colour scheme.
Thanks, I love the blue and black. I liked the green too, but this just stood out to us.

I definitely noticed a ton of debris in the same location after my first trip. My buddy got his AR210 back in September, he has the exact same issue! I had some questions about how to flush the system, the manual is a little vague.
My biggest question is about the ballast system. Can you fill them and drain them without using the wakesurfing profiles? Surely there’s a button that allows you to just set your ballasts manually??

thanks!

So to be honest, the guys at the dealer told me to do that...but that most definitely doesn’t mean it’s correct.
Back to the manual I go!

Congratulations. The boat looks awesome. I’m really interested in your further opinion on the DRiVE too. I’ve been holding off on adding any steering assist until I thoroughly master the features of the boat And the new tech Yamaha has developed.

I would for sure not tow like that, use the straps and secure it to the rack! Beautiful boat!

My wife is hoping to learn too; until then I'm just going to get used to launching solo as well!

Yup, these forks are designed for two wakeboards each, or one wakesurf board and one regular wakeboard.
