Looks like the wife is bought in. . . . . . . . . Hard to pass up with 25% off and FREE Shipping.

So far, I am only planning on the Cockpit kit. . . . since the swim deck is brand new. Opinions on just doing the cockpit and leaving the swim deck stock?
Money is less of a concern than pulling up those swim platform mats and glue.
I'm thinkin your swim deck is black like the majority out there... IMHO. I'm more miffed at my swim deck leaching black when wet and dragging it into the boat. If my new titanium cockpit was stained with black footprints i'd be pissed...Add to that the stank in my carpet is awesome 'nuff it has driven me to the whole enchalada. Doing it in two phases is fine. But...in short...i just want this stuff throughout. I'm a huge fan of stock equip but this is an awesome adder. .....

My swim platform is only a year old and in good condition but I'm buying the full kit.

My thought is that I will eventually need/want to replace the swim platform and would want it to match so I might as well buy it with this awesome discount. Initially my plan is to do the cockpit and just save the swim deck assuming that them not matching doesn't drive me crazy. (Lesser things have driven me crazy :) ) if I can handle it I will just wait for the swim deck to wear out. If it doesn't by the time I'm ready to sell/trade in, having a set of brand new swim deck mats will be a value add to the buyer/dealer.

Sooo...Long story short, go for it. It's only money! :)

I just did the cockpit at first but after a few times out and comparing the cockpit to the swim deck I wish I would have bought them both at the same time so I could have got the discount. Also, not sure if this is true or not but the newer the boat the easier it will be to get the old stuff off.

True. The older it gets, the harder it is to pull up in one piece without having it break apart in your hands.

25 is the max. Sorry but we're doing a ton of work coordinating this ever expanding group purchase. These things can be an organizational nightmare.

Good news is there is still some boating season left to go enjoy the new mats. We just passed 18 by my count.

My original HydroTurf is 6 years old and visually it looks great, but it is breaking down and tracks black in the boat. My concern with not doing both at the same time is that any fading that might occur with the cockpit kit, and it not matching the swim platform kit when you get around to doing putting it in. My HydroTurf has always been hot and the appeal of the SeaDek being cooler on the feet is well worth the effort to install it. Just a thought...

When I removed the swim deck mats on my boat the boat had been sitting in my basement garage. The temperature was likely in the low 70s. All but one of the mats came off in one or two big pieces. I used a paint scraper to pull up the corner then just held onto it and pulled. The last mat which I had been sitting on to remove the others came up in lots and lots of little pieces. I feel like the heat from my butt had warmed the glue making it harder to strip off. I believe my whole process. The whole process took two to three hours with 2/3rds of that time being the fight with the last mat. So I recommend trying to change them when they are cool. It might be worthwhile to ice them before removal.

@JetBoatPilot any idea when these will ship?
We have to wait till the end of the time period allowed to begin tallying orders and invoicing. We already have lots of material on hand and have informed SeaDek of the coming order so they are preparing by getting a jump start on production now. Sept 1 we will invoice and take credit card payments. We hope to begin shipping orders within a few days from there. My goal is to have all or most shipped by the end of that week as I am taking vacation on the 8th.

Ok, just to help you guys out (yeah right) I'm in for the cockpit & swim platform plus a couple of optional mats. Just sent Will an email. Looks like Will's gonna be a busy boy. It will be nice not to have snap imprints on the balls of my feet next summer.

Unfortunately one summer and your turf on the swim deck will be melted from the table mount.
can you elaborate on this? Is it for the stock material that it will melt? Seadek material? would taping the table mount or laminating it with a black material help?

I believe I have read that some of the new style table mounts are polished and act like a mirror creating a hot spot on the swim deck.

It is not an issue with the deck material but with the act of shining a mirror at it.

So laminating it with some type of matte or nonreflective surface (other than chrome) will probably help this. There seems to be quite a bit of wiggle room.. or maybe making an insert for the middle that is nonreflective and then add nonreflective material to the rest of the mount would help.

I doubt it will be an issue for me, I don't leave my boat exposed in the sun much.

I saw a post about the melting issue on here a while ago, if you put something over the chrome or make it like a brushed finish it will solve the problem, as stated above the issue was the mount acting like a magnifying glass and heating up the turf and melting it.
