I know this is a very old thread but I've had a Berkley Jet and an SX192 and the Cobra Jet Fins. I just put a deposit down on the 275SD so I am reading all the threads I can find.

I will probably add the Lateral Thrusters and maybe the Thrust Vectors; especially with the August Promo...... but I came across this video and this is what practice and confidence can do for anyone. He has nothing aftermarket installed. I don't think too many people with outboard or an I/O could do what this guy did in his AR210 in the same conditions. Granted looks like no wind or current but this is still dang impressive.

man's got some skills..but this is only possible if there is no wind nor current...I have to fight both EVERY time but with thrust vectors, I do just fine loading docking etc.

Agreed......

I opted to order the Lateral Thrusters and Thrust Vectors for my new '22 275SD for the 30% discount this month. Some said the Lateral Thrusters probably wouldn't be needed on the '22 but it was good deal so I figured I would add them as well.

I can do this with 30mph wind and current. Which is every day this summer. I've gotten compliments by other boat owners when pulling into restaurants. 19ft with old bent thrust vectors. I still make mistakes time to time, but I follow the mantra "only go as fast as you would want to hit something". Something goes wrong, kill the throttle, and push off of the obstacle.
