I wonder if that T-Top tower would be strong enough to hold a wake rope tow point? It also needs provisions for mounting antenna's and stuff on the roof..

Rod holders on the T-Top would be nice as well.

Keep the suggestions coming. Good ideas.

Needs holes or zipper in canvas top for longer rods. To stow on the cc.

If I was still into fishing back country and still lived in SWFL this would be a perfect boat. Well done Yamaha!
It's definately targeted for the Gulf coast and eastern shore up to the Carolinas.

They have used the newer motor mounts and coupler in the FSH. Those are the same ones that are in the 190's. The FSH may be quieter than the 190's just by different top shell design but those stats will come out later.

Don't fish. Never have. Never will. But if 28-32K is in the right wheelhouse for this type fishing boat, I bet it sells well.

Opinion from new boat purchaser on the east coast of North Carolina who went round and round about Yamaha AR2XX vs family friendly center console:

This new FSH boat is very similar to what was my ultimate number 2 choice: a Pioneer Islander 197 http://www.pioneerboats.com/islander197.html

I really wanted the Pioneer but had to be realistic about play vs fish. During my shopping phase I knew I would be leaning heavy on the play side of boating. The fact the Ar210 was bigger and had the swim platform ultimately swayed me out of the Pioneer and into the Yamaha. Now with this jet powered 19 foot boat with a swim platform, I feel like it would have been a very tough decision, especially considering the price point. Although now that I have a 21 foot boat, I don't feel that I could ever go down to a 19 footer. Only scenario I see myself purchasing the 19ft FSH is kids are grown & out of the house and just me and few buddies fishing and I want to drag the grandkids on the tube once in a blue moon. Otherwise it looks way to small for any more than 4 people + all the watersports toys that we drag along each outing. Now if it was a 24footer........

They will release the 21 and 24 of this...no doubt

I believe the lower half is the same hull as the rest of the 190 series. I think it is likely that we will see a similar approach applied to the 210 and 240 hulls.

And its on an aluminum trailer.. I am wondering if the articulating keel can be bolted onto other 190 series boats...

In its current design, I don't think it would be wise to tow from the tower. It is designed as a sun shade and railing.

Well to tell the truth I'm disappointed. When this boat was "leaked" last week I was excited because I love a center console boat. IMO the boat needs to be a couple of feet longer, and needs more seating, its rated for eight but it doesn't look like it would seat eight. It probably would work well for a fishing boat, but not so well for a fishing/family boat. Also with one 1.8L motor it probably lacks the performance associated with jet boats, Yamaha seems slow in releasing specs. about this boat.

On the plus side especially compared to other boats the price seems very fair, $31K with trailer.

Sorry my first post is negative, but that's the way I see it, maybe next year they will have a model more to my liking, thanks for having me on your forum.

I was expecting more. This looks like a 190 with a center console deck and an articulating keel. It can't be that much harder to slap a center console deck onto a 240 series hull for more power and length and of course more profit. "A boat for every boater", I don't think so but I'm leaning towards a cruiser for my next boat so I am hoping that yamaha gets into that market with a jet boat.

I was completely wrong, I never thought it would be a center console. To me, that is a straight-up fishing boat, not a "boat for every boater".

I have nothing against it, hope they sell an ass load of them, just don't see it as a universal boat.

@LouDoo glad to have you on board, i agree seating for eight does seem questionable but for the performance i don't expect that to be a problem. It's the same lower hull as the current 190 series so it should have plenty of power,

I also think the "boat for everyone" is just a marketing slogan, it sounds good, who cares how accurate it is,
