    I have officially resigned.....retirement here I come!

Hi @Julian I still stalk the site every now and then and came across this thread, congratulations on your retirement. I also see we’re of the same age, 1965 was a good vintage! I retired last year too and the old saying certainly seems to be true, how did I find the time to work, however, we...

    SOLD Yamaha AR240 2016 170 hours FL.

Yes, it is with sad loss that we have sold the boat now. Many, many awesome memories with this boat, it breaks my heart to of made the decision to sell but onward and upward. Not sure what happens now as travel is still in the balance, eventually we will buy another boat, be it Yamaha or other.

    SOLD Yamaha AR240 2016 170 hours FL.

Hi, the steering was fine, turns out my friend just went behind the boat and tried to move the nozzles at the pumps but did have to change the port shift cable. I had already replaced the starboard end of 2019. It is a testament to keeping your boat in top condition, using Boeshield T9, fresh...

    Issues with lack of use.

We have regarding the house but we're a little too fussy, we originally bought the property as an investment to rent but after furnishing and remodelling we fell in love with it and it became very personalised. This is the main reason we bought a boat rather than hire, she's my baby and she...

    Issues with lack of use.

Well it’s been confirmed, my nozzles are seized firm :arghh:. My thinking is, full cable replacement is now needed so I should just relax and not worry any longer, cover is holding up, batteries are in the house on maintainers and tank is full with ethanol free gas. If Im not able to get out...

    The Vaccine

I've been stalking this thread for a while and feel now's the time to stick my neck out. I'm reading some positive comments regarding getting vaccinated from some knowledgable, and respected fellow jetboaters, which is why I'm commenting now. I'm in the UK and haven't taken up the offer of a...

    Issues with lack of use.

You guys have made my year, I'm so grateful to you all, jeez I miss my boat :(. Thank you to the guys local for the offers, I'm going to work out logistically how it might work, batteries and keys in the house, boat strapped to lift and power off (it was put away for the hurricane season). If I...

Yes, and thats one of the problems, if it was on the trailer being stored, it would be easy to get maintenance.

    Issues with lack of use.

Hi, guys, Its been a while since I've posted a thread but I have past by and kept up to date with current content. I'm looking for any advise on issues I may have with my AR240 being unused for a while now. My problem is I'm from the UK and not been able to visit the US for over a year now, and...

    Boating with 5 year olds

My kids have been brought up in and around boats and lived by the ocean all their lives, they both are excellent swimmers and partake in numerous watersports. We have a photo somewhere of my son only months old, asleep under the dash of a non, open bow boat :). My only real addition to others...

Sold my house and moved to SW Florida

Some friends of ours mentioned the flooding but thankfully that was from rain and not surge. Monday night is trivia night at the Ice house, a weekly event for our gang and good fun too, John and Christine are very good landlords. We often go to Laishleys Crab house in the boat, the Gator gill...

Sold my house and moved to SW Florida

Hi @PortTobacco II great to see you've ended up in a lovely small town but then again, I'm biased :). If your on a canal, are you in PGI? I know the prices there are higher compared to surrounding areas but IMO worth it, it's deed restricted and very safe and welcoming. My home is on 9ft...

2017-2020 Yamaha 210 Line Engine Noise

No conversation here, along with wind noise, it’s very hard, you have to shout and to be honest it’s just not worth it. I remember with my Yamaha V6 OB, you could chat at almost any speed, except WOT obviously. As previously mentioned, with the twins revving high, wind etc it’s not easy.

Deluxe Mooring Cover Issues -- Any 3rd-party recommendations?

I was sceptical with the black cover in the summer Florida heat but I'm five years in and mines still ok. Yes the zips on some of the cleat covers have come apart but my straps are still in very good condition. I suspect cost cutting with later batches.
