    I'd give Wet Sounds newest ZERO line of speakers a look, ZERO 6 XZ-B | Wet Sounds High-Output 6.5" Marine Coaxial Speakers. They're totally redesigned, shallow mount, use the same tech as their tower speakers and are on the same tier as the REVOs if not better.

    Have you given the new Wet Sounds 12inch Rev-12HD's a look? You're going to get a better, larger speaker that hangs down only 13.36" (which is almost the same as the Kicker 9inch). The kicker 11inch hangs down 2inches lower at 15-9/16".

    I personally remove the boarding ladder and all the anchor holding equipment in the compartment. I repurpose the compartment to hold four Mission Sentry Fenders and lines so damaging the speakers won’t be an issue.

    I plan on removing the cell phone holder and ordering a custom piece of SeaDek/Marine Mat from JBP to cover the holes left from the holder. I'll be adding plenty of charging ports throughout the boat so I'll be able to charge my phone elsewhere.

    Run.... The fact that the previous owner let the boat sit in Salt for a year speaks volumes about how much he DID NOT care for the boat or flat out did not know what he was doing. There will be other opportunities to buy a boat from an owner that actually loved and cared for their Yamaha.

    Sticker-Less Boats. Post them here

    I removed all decals, Yamaha badging and warning stickers with a heat gun and some goo off. Relatively simple and easy process. Really gives these boats a nice clean appearance especially when you have a tinted windshield.

    If you have access to a Line X shop that is wiling to spray the keel of a boat, it works great! I've had gator/keel shield and won't go back to the strips.
