    Leaking somewhere in transom area

Fix done. It was a mess behind that rail. Sand, salt, rust...I wouldn't have been surprised to find a koozie behind there. I removed the screws and rub rail on the whole stern and about 2 ft up each side and added silicone to each hole. Pic from the inside shows the silicone went through like I...

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

Here's something funny. I just pulled the center piece out of the rub rail, I haven't taken any screws out of it yet...here's a screw hole that was never filled..You can see straight through the hull.

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

It's attached to the trailer on the ramp, I knew there was a leak back there somewhere, so I just wanted the transom in the water. Just happened to dip the rub rail in there a bit too.

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

I didn't get a pic of it leaking, but here is where mine is coming in. This is pointed directly at the middle of the transom rub rail. The rub rail was in the water because I left the boat on the trailer while checking this. Before I dipped the rub rail in, I stopped with it above the water...

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

Keep in mind my wife really wants to go out tomorrow. So a quick fix for today followed by real fix would be ideal.

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

Found the leak. It’s pouring in what looks like the center holes where the rub rail attaches. Should I just unscrew, fill those holes with silicone and screw back in or should I use something stronger like 5200?

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

The rubrail was in the water. That makes me think of the reason for this test. Last time I was out, while driving the bilge seemed to kick on quite a bit. When we were sitting flat, it didn't kick on at all. Makes me think the leak is there. Not sure how to see that, but that gives me something...

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

I'll have to take it back to the ramp to do that. It's hard to get around in that small opening. I'm a novice at best at messing with engines, so I'll have to try to figure out which ones are which. I'm not sure what I can do to make it easier to see the hoses and where they are connected. That...

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

All this is really giving me is the sound, I can't place where it's coming from.

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

I just filled up that area as much as I could with a hose, jacked the nose of it up high, and it's holding the water. I don't see any drips at all coming out of it. I'll upload the video, give me a few.

    Leaking somewhere in transom area

I have a leak that I can hear (trickling water sound) when I back the boat in the water. I backed the boat in as shown below and let it sit for 5 minutes. After I pulled it out and took out the drain plug it drained water for over a minute. It isn't the scupper, I have replaced that with...

Hello Sunshine!! Relocating from Seattle WA to Sarasota/Bradenton FL Area! Woohooo!!

No problem! Just keep in mind it is a forecast, and sometimes the actual conditions do not match the forecast at all! Every once in a while I turn around at the mouth of the Manatee and just cruise the river for the day. :D

Hello Sunshine!! Relocating from Seattle WA to Sarasota/Bradenton FL Area! Woohooo!!

Welcome to Summer in FL! Kidding...kinda. We pretty much always have a slight chance of T-Storms in the late afternoon here. What I look at when I'm planning on going out or not is the wind and wave forecast first, and then the precipitation forecast. I use an app called Windy and usually...

Hello Sunshine!! Relocating from Seattle WA to Sarasota/Bradenton FL Area! Woohooo!!

Did you make it out to Passage Sunday? We were there from about 10:30-4ish. It was a little wavy on the east side of the island but other than that it was an amazing day. My wife and I did a lap around the island, but there were so many Yamaha's out there I didn't know which was yours. My...

Hello Sunshine!! Relocating from Seattle WA to Sarasota/Bradenton FL Area! Woohooo!!

Cool..I think we're planning on heading out early on Sunday in order to get a good parking spot at the ramp. Passage will be our first stop. We won't move on from there unless the swell is bad. We normally anchor at the south east side of the island.
