Hello All, this is my first post on the forum, picking up my 2011 242 Limited tomorrow. I had a question about using the "s" tower. Is it compatible with the straight "limited". Is there any other better aftermarket tower/bimini options?

it is but expensive to purchase outright, if you can find one. I do believe you could go to the OEM of the tower. Which was MTK or Monster Tower and have the best luck. They have changed the design of the MTK, but you may want to call and see if they can sell the Yamaha type. But I think their agreement with Yamaha may not allow that.

This links shows the newer version of the MTK. But call them up.

Be sure that the hull is reinforced at the mount point. I think Yamaha did that in all 242's but just left the tower off the Limited. But check to be sure.

Good luck!

Thanks so much !
