2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

I would have gone with "sodoma e gomorra ".
One for the jeep and one for the ski, so when you tow it all makes sense to people driving by

Keep the bow up ladies & gents ;)

dang ! I thought boats were designed to float at waterline when "sunk"

Looks like Bimini Sands is starting to organize their own flotillas

Probably because the Bahamas tourism flings stay at the Big Game Club.

Bimini Sands started promoting their Wahoo Tournaments last year. They are offering some pretty large prizes. Occupancy rates at Bimini Sands have almost doubled since last year.

I believe the requirements only apply to boats under 20ft and even then there are exceptions. From what I read. on larger boats the boatbuilder can voluntarily meet these regulations, but are not required to do so.

For those looking for a gps West Marine has the Garmin 54CV on sale for $299 right now which is a pretty good deal I picked one up today. It comes with the clear vue sonar transducer as well.

That is a good deal - do the coastal charts include the Bahamas?

Unfortunately somewhere in the last 2 years or so Garmin stopped including the Bahamas in the coastal G2 charts which is a little disappointing. @Andy S when he got his unit it came with the Bahamas heck my GPSMap 78SC has the Bahamas on the G2 charts. No Big deal though as I was already going to buy the G2 Vision chart for the Bahamas any way as that is needed to activate the auto routing feature I can pick one up one Ebay for under $100.

Will do thanks for the heads up! If you updated yours already why don't you just send me your charts that don't work any more and save me the hassle lol!

Thanks but you are correct I don't think I need that one not yet any way.

If you just bought your Garmin, there's a fair chance it already has 10.0 on it. That's the second half of what @DieselCamel was saying. Might want to check your version before you spend good money on a chart card that may not work. The other thing to watch out for on cheap chart cards is the chart version may be old and outdated. Always try to get the most current chart available. Some of the ones I looked at on eBay were pretty old.

I was called out for being cheap on passports......I would say your navigation system is equally as important, if not more so. Just my opinion.
