2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

This is the first time I ever saw this thread. Man am I missing out on this Forum. not sure what I'm doing wrong. I just keep looking for input. info.
I haven't seen or herard much of anything since he crossing. I had a blast. I guess others did too. I sorta thought I'd see a lot of pics and comments. Nothing!

@STEVE garman the easiest way to keep up with whats going on is after you login on the top right part of the screen you will see a tab that says recent posts just click that it will bring up the topics that are active right then. When I started doing that every time I logged in it totally changed the way the forum worked for me versus just trolling through the various forum pages.

It will also helpnif you click on “follow this thread” on the top right corner.

Very important: do not ignore the alerts . Once you invite the alert you will not get another one

The link he's referring to is the "Watch Thread" link in the upper right of every "thread". Clicking on this allows you to be notified (either by email, or just when you log onto the forum) that a thread you are interested in has new "posts".

  • Forum=a Group of relevant threads (think of a folder of topics). This thread is posted in the "Gatherings Forum"
  • Thread = a group of posts on a particular topic. This is begun by clicking on "Post New Thread" button at the upper right of a forum's main page. (the embedded link will create a new thread in the gatherings forum).
  • Post=an individual's reply to a thread
Alerts on the forum are helpful for you to know when:
  1. Someone has tagged you in a post (a reply to a thread)
  2. Something you are "watching" has new replies from someone.
As @Betik pointed out, if you keep ignoring "Alerts" about a thread you are watching, it will stop alerting you. My first stop when I open the forum is to look at alerts. I follow a lot of threads that I'm interested in, so I look there to see whats new.

Hopefully this helps.

Sorry if i did not read all 163 pages.. but is there a thread for next years trip..

My family and i just watched the June crossing on @Amar Nanduri boat i believe. First, nice boat man!
Second, your crossing was in amazing water! I think towards the beginning you said 35 mph and then backed off. Nice!

Thanks. The boat is a lot of work to maintain compared to the Yamaha, but gives tremendous confidence to venture out into farther into the sea by myself. We got lucky on the weather during the crossing. Infact @Betik was sitting on the bow and having an amazing 360 view during the latter half of the crossing.
