I got some videos of the Sunday crossing. But it will have to wait till I can upload video. Some of the 24 ft yammies were straight up in the air sunday.

Chartered a fishing boat. Caught a grouper barracuda and a bunch of trigger. Was an awesome time.

Straight up and down and "sporty" sound very different to me :D :D Glad you guys made it back safe.

So those were 4-7ft waves.....what was the period? I have very little understanding or frame of reference on that size of wave. I've heard if you can divide period by height and get 3:1 or better it's a suitable day. However, if that gets under a 2:1 watch out for a much more "sporty" ride.
