Interesting idea, but our jet streams are usually above the waterline while running, so wouldn't work the same way.
Couldn't you build a down turn that puts exhaust below the waterline? Not sure how it would hold up at 50mph...

I go boating to get away form all the stress the high tec world throws at us on a daily basis.......so dealing with it on my boat would no be relaxing.

Am I the only one who would rather physical switches over touch screens??? Like i get the premium look and all but... Id rather one switch fail as opposed to MY ENTIRE SCREEN... Im so sick of manufacturers half assing "luxury items" and charging like they work mint.
Nope, when I was shopping for a new boat, it had to have switches for the crucial things and no touch screens, that is why I ended up in a MasterCraft NXT20. I engineer automation systems for a living and know how easily electrical systems can fail especially when exposed to harsh environments. Nothing would suck worse than not being able to use your boat because of a screen failure.

standard blue led lighting in the boat? What? How about the legal green and red?

Huge improvement over previous model years, but it does smell of budget boat for sure. But the cool part is there is a boat for every budget. Anyone see pricing?

Theres been some other discussions on here about this but I don’t think anyone has put together anything.

CO issues aside, I’d pay a pretty good amount of money for something that would quiet things down when cruising and I think that exhaust being out in the open is a big part of it.

Make it so it’s just above the water line at plane. Below at lower speeds.

I agree - I've seen so many FB post on the Nautique/Tige/Supra/Malibu groups about three year old boats with failed screens and the only way to replace it is to pay the dealer 2-4k. YIKES.

You can build one on their site. I did it for shits and giggles and it was 85k.

As far as the boat in general. What we need in the market is a solid Disruptor with features that are needed as well as solid QA/QC at an attractive price. That would put the other MFG's on alert.
That was @Yamaha 20 years ago.

Looks so much better than those goofy bathtub models. I have no idea how they sold any of those.
I still want to see one in person, I like the idea and great spot to throw another ballast bag and not have to worry about tying it down.

100% agree with this - even in those videos you can see the vinyl ripples around the edges of the cushions. However if they can make a large dent in the market over the next five years, it'll force the big boys to drop their prices. My experience last spring climbing on Malibus, Tiges, and Moombas was "These guys are insane for asking the cost of a small house for the quality of these boats."
Prices won’t be coming down, especially not from competitors against HeyDay. I’m not really sure who HeyDay’s target audience is. The boats are tubs that hold water but don’t have a surf system. They’re basically on the same playing field as old vdrive boats before surf systems were a thing. You wouldn’t pay $80k for a 2003 Malibu Vride so why on earth would someone pay $80k for a wake boat that has zero wake or surf features? Surf systems aside, the interior of that thing screams cheap. Look at how thin those cushions are and compare to any other brand. It’s not even close. The dash is a horrible China looking sad attempt at creating a Nautique wanna-be dash. It’s just eh everywhere I look on those boats. They are not a threat to any other wake boat mfg and they aren’t going to force the market to lower prices or even pay attention to them IMO.

100% agree. I love my non-connext, non-Eseries boat. Prefer my manual switches, analog gages, and cable controls.

I'm not a complete marine Luddite though, I do require EFI :)

That's really impressive. The only device with a carburator that I have ever managed to master is the Honda engine on my push mower. EVERY single other carburator I've ever used I've messed up at some level or another.

I hate them, pretty sure they hate me......we've made an agreement. I stay away, and they give me the lawnmower. It's a good deal and I'm not rocking that boat :)

A lot of it is the gas. 20 years ago they were a lot easier.
I’m constantly cursing my two stroke skis, bike and old boat but when I use them enough for the fuel to not sit more than a couple weeks then they run great.

When I made that video the boat had last seasons 6+ month old gas (87 octane with Ethanol) But I add marine stabil and Yamaha ring free to every gallon of gas that goes in the boat.

I’d make a bet on the gas being “bad.” Even with Sta-bil I notice a big difference between a week or two and a couple months. 6 months is a long time for it to sit. Was the tank filled to the top when it went in to storage?
