So I looked here a bit, and haven’t found an answer. Most what I’ve seen is pre 2015. I’ve seen the kn hp1002, but not sure about that one.

What is an acceptable auto compatible oil filter that will fit the 242 Yamahas? I’m looking for something with the same post size and filter ring seal size. Similar surface area sizes. Thoughts?

I have been using the Mobil M1-102s and Mobil oil on my 2016 AR240 since break-in. No consumption , no leaks , no problems whatsoever. It is my belief there are several premium aftermarket brands (orange/black excluded) of higher quality than the Yamaha OE.
