252SE Taking on LOT'S of Water

The 19ft hulls do not have a thru-hull anchor locker drain. They only drain into the ski locker, not directly overboard.

Seal the cleanout tray perimeter and around the access hatches and fittings. Once you see the job the factory did sealing these, you will want to pull out all the watertight fittings and redo them yourself. Mine had just the tiniest bead of sealant with large gaps with no sealant at all. And then plug the rear cup holders as they also drain directly into the bilge and seal the perimeter if they are getting a lot of splash or wash-over.

Check out my video on youtube. Just type in 252se the video should come up. I had an issue with a ton of water as well. It came in through the anchor locker through hole connection.
I255xd had screws holding in rear under light. Screw striped within forst 30 days of ownership (or was never installed) and took on water constantly. Should have been bolted mechanic said. Replaced with bolts and silicone, still leaking. Hence wasting my evening on this forum reminding myself why my 255xd was a stupid purchase .
