Hit a rock recently in my Crestliner 1860. Powered by a 80HP mercury jet. The boat immediately died after impact and would not start. After raising my unit out of the water it fired right up. After placing my boot back in the water it takes 30 seconds to a minute and loses RPM and will starve itself if not applying more gas. My intake great is smashed in decently well, and the impeller is slightly rubbing on the wear ring, however not that bad at all. Looking for some direction in what to try first before I start buying parts that I don't need. Online is telling me check my filters, but I am leaning more towards the jet pump itself. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
