Another battery charger question

Leave the switch and your current setup as is. Just run the leads from the charger to each battery directly. The Prosport will charge each battery individually.

As long as your battery switches are setup correctly, you shouldn't have an issue. The Prosport manual says that even if you are charging three batteries on the same bank, like if you had three batteries paralleled for your house bank or if you had two connected in series for a trolling motor, the charger will charge each battery individually and then maintain them after charging.

I have the three bank Prosport 20 Plus charging a two group 31 house bank and a group 27 starting bank and have never had any issues. My battery switches are also on the upstream side of the ACR, so they are isolated when the switches are off.

Note: I think all the batteries need to be the same construction. I don't think it will work if you have say one AGM and one Gel type.

Thanks.....so if I use as charger to plug in I should just turn the DVSR switch to off from what I can tell?

You should be fine having the switch off when charging. If your dvsr light comes on when the charger is plugged in, you may want to either add a switch like the other post you referenced or rewire the switch and dvsr so that the switch is between the batteries and dvsr.

If you look at the post below from @txav8r you can see a good illustration of an electrical system with an ACR and charger. When the switch is off there is no connection between the batteries.

Hello
I am a bit confused by the explanation of your setup, or which model prosport you purchased. Going on the assumption you have 2 lead acid batteries and a 2 bank prosport....you would just hard wire the charger dc banks to the battery. Any other on/off switches do not matter. IDeally your switches should be off so the charger can manage each bank independently.
Thank you,
Jason

Hey jason....I understand. ...it's just the other posts that have me wondering. I installed today. Turned the dvsr switch to off and all is good.....see post I attached to why I asked. Thanks
