Another new member and owner in Michigan

Nice looking boat... you and yours will have so much fun..

Welcome to the board.

Congratulations on your purchase Jim!

I am close to finalizing a purchase of a 2008 AR210 from a private seller. I'm looking forward to getting out on the many beautiful Michigan lakes! :)

@JimG I am also new to this board and love it! We have had our 2005 AR230HO for almost one year now, I also upgraded from an 18' bow rider. The question @Scottintexas asks above is a great one because the beautiful thing about these boats is they can do it all - from high speed pwc type maneuvers to trolling for salmon. The range of recreational opportunities will be wide open for you. We were able to get surfing on our boat with no modifications other than adding human ballast - it actually got to the point where I was looking at people simply as ballast, objectifying them (especially the Football Umpires that I officiate with).

There are indeed many great lakes (no pun intended) in Michigan, but though I have been a long-time boat owner here I haven't done much traveling with my previous boats. I usually put it in the water at my cottage in the spring and take it out in October. Partly that is because I love boating on my lake, but more than that it's because my previous boats had very iffy trailers that I didn't trust taking on road trips of any length. That is different now, so I am anxious to do some lake exploring!

Happy to have another Jim on board @JimG , Congrats on the new addition. Enjoy it to the max!
