AR250 top speed and cruising speed

Couple weekends with the boat - 46-48 consistently is what I am getting. 2 people and about half a tank and I saw 48 on the speedo. 46 seems to be pretty consistent with any load over 2 - up to 8 adults I have had and about 70% fuel load and we were pegged WOT at 46 sustained - calm bay day.

Have not done the ribbon delete yet... not sure I am going to given how consistent the boat is... and hole shots are on fire - leaps out of the water for sure.

Bumping this…. Anyone getting different numbers? Mods?

I should have mine out next weekend. I have to spend some time doing the break in but after that I’ll open it up and see. I do remember that my waverunners took about 15hrs before I saw the best speeds.

Just remember that as the water and air temperature rise the top speed goes down I was at 61 mph a couple months ago and now at 57.

No it is not but the effect is probably worse on your boat than on what I drive. But remember I am new to all this . However I do recall about 10 hours average before the 1800 engines want to really crank up the rpm's 1623435452377.png1623435492979.png

I will go easy on you.

About exact what I get on a 2015 Ar240. Boat test.com claims 52mph on there reviews. Wonder how they come up with that number.

Are you guys hitting high speeds with the Bimini still up?

With a light load I’m getting 46 with Bimini out/extended/I have shade/how ever you want to say it.
Us, two people, full tank of gas, small 40 can cooler. It's fine, do I want just a bit more YES!, but I also don't like the gas station. Makes me feel better people getting about same mph.

Prior to my Yamaha, had a 5.0 MPI Mercruiser Crownline. Was nice at times to hit that 50mph when you felt the need for speed. But I think those days are over☹️

Next year I’m going to see what doing the ribbon delete will do.

From what I've been reading on other posts, not a great addition. 1 to 2 mph gain. I can pass on that. Have been reading same info for the lucky cone.

46 top speed with my 252S with half a tank and me only. Slightly lower with full fuel and 3 other people.
