In case you are worried about a dog damaging the seats, I can vouch that four and a half pounds is safe!

Pls excuse if this has been asked before, anyone have a self recovery platform/ladder, their dog can use to get back aboard from the water?

Would like to see how one works! Our pup is going to be far to big for me to lift out of the water this summer!C4B5D1AA-DB43-4C9C-862E-C289A0BDDE67.jpeg

Our chester boy is certainly a boating dog...but he’s a motorhome dog too! When we broke down in September, and the tow truck was hooking up, he kept tabs through the screen door!

I'm curious about this too. Our doggo wears a vest for the sole purpose of getting him back in - grabbing that handle really makes it easy.

From the old boat:

We have a water loving 60lb. lab that with our assistance will almost climb the ladder to get back in the boat. Our problem is keeping her OUT of the water! I've looked at and thought about those dog platform ladder things and to us they seem to be in the way. They have to be attached to the human boarding ladder.

20170209_083134.jpg I would love to take our Bulldog on the boat, but her feet on my cushions worry me.... How well do they hold up to an onslaught of dog paws??????????20170209_083134.jpg

Looks like the dogs had a rough day outside in February but I doubt anyone feels bad. The German Shepard pup is only 10 weeks old and already loves the boat. Yes we had a life jacket on him most of the time.

Well Kai, the new pup has finally grown enough to fit into his life jacket. Put it on him this morning and gave him an introduction to swimming in the pool this morning. He was pissed at me right after, but he got over it quickly. Intro. to the Yamaha coming soon.

Maia was not happy either, the water was a little cold this morning.

But she is a pro on the swim platform and paddle board.

Our fur babies love going out on the boat with us, but it does add another level stress to the situation. Hard to totally relax with our two knuckleheads along for the ride, but definitely entertaining.

You guys are making me want to bring my dog. I was always worried about the Vinyl getting damaged. Any suggestions for a life jacket for a 45lb Springer Spaniel?
