bracket challenge

I get that it is hot but there are plenty of tennis courts and no outdoor basketball courts. Also 5-6 months of the year it is too cold/snowy/icy to play basketball outside in Maine yet still plenty of outdoor courts. I have to believe that it can't be too hot to play basketball more than that in SC. I am not saying your wrong just seems really weird to me.

I wonder how many people are going to think I am crazy when I propose putting up outdoor basketball hoops/court at a school board meeting? If you can't tell I love basketball and want see all kids have access to outdoor activities. My kids will have their own hoop but playing on a full court all lined out with whomever shows up is just better IMO.

Okay I will stop derailing but at least it was basketball related.

My self generated picks are in. With any luck I will have one of the final four right. There are sure to be some upsets early on. For anyone interested my so called strategy is based on loses and defenses. Protecting the net and pulling down boards is always a recipe for success. Hot hands beyond the arch can always be a game changer though.

And scoring more points than the other guy works too!! :D

I'm in.

I have watched only 3 games in person and 1 game on TV this year. All of the games that I have been to, and the one that I watched were Northern Kentucky University games. They are about 1.5 miles from my work and we have a suite at BB&T Arena where they play in Highland Heights, KY. It has been exciting to watch them make it this far, but I still picked them to lose in the 1st round. Hopefully they give UK a good game and Calipari doesn't run the score up against them.
Go Norse!!!

Nice 12/5 pick @Andy S . I can't believe both @robert843 and you picked against South Carolina. If GT was in the tournament I would have had some gold colored glasses on when picking my bracket. Instead, I'm going to the GT vs. Belmont game Sunday to see if Tech can do what UGA couldn't (beat Belmont at home) in the NIT.

The way South Carolina faltered down the stretch I don't have any confidence in themy.

There is still a lot of games left for my picks to suck wind.

USC is playing a good inside game against a tough opponent. They are just getting beat (barely) on long range shooting. Even if they lose this one (about a minute to go and tight) they can hold their heads high.

What no one had Gonzaga going out in the first round?? HA!! I heard this guy on ESPN say he thought they would go down so I thought what the heck!! Oh well, maybe that perfect sheet next year!! :winkingthumbsup"

Well looks like @Andy S and I were wrong but figured it didn't matter with Duke up next.

And down goes Nova!!

Well crap @Andy S we under estimated.

@robert843 What a great win! Gamecock have both ladies and men's teams in the sweet 16. If I would have picked the Gamecock's to win in the first round there is no way I would have picked them to beat Duke. Since I didn't pick them to win any games, I didn't curse them and maybe they will have a chance against Baylor.

@Johmas50 hoping Kentucky puts it to UCLA.

I agree if I would have picked them to win in the first round we would have gotten blown out.

Some really great games this weekend!! I think there are several teams that were terribly underestimated!! I still have 3 of my final 4 left....love this tournament!! Oh, in case you're wondering why I would go with UCLA?? Alford used to coach here in Springfield...knew he wouldn't be here long. Now it sounds like the Indiana job is open, wonder if he will go there after the tournament is over??

Oh well, if UCLA can't get there maybe an SEC team can. Good luck to those that are left!!
