Cobra vs Vector 2021 Edition

@Cobra Jet Steering LLC what do you recommend for a 1999 LS2000? Mainly looking to improve low speed steering so others are more comfortable driving the boat, docking, getting on the trailer. I want steering at speed to change little to none.
well then you can add the super magnum twin and set the fins up high they have numerous settings that system is the least expensive or you can get the super ultimate spring loaded set and set it to go up at speed if you wish or keep the fins down in one of several settings that set is 399.99. This is the most popular set I have because it has so many choices from all the way down all the time to only down at slow speed and all the way up at speed or anywhere in between. It is spring loaded and even stager able so you can set the inner fins at different levels than the inner fine and both of those are compatible with the mega fang plus upgrade for more reverse , better stopping and a power steering effect, All this is on my web page under the yamaha section. Yes That is correct I owned boats all my life I built boats for myself and even worked in marine shops for free to learn about engine repairs I was a police officer for 23 years and had to work on cars trucks motorcycles boats do welding etc to raise my 4 children I also owned a company called A and J auto clinic m I was never afraid to work so when I was not patrolling the streets I was working in my shop. But the badge opened a lot of doors for me and people were happy to let me hang around and work with them for free to learn their secrets I learned auto body and painting as well. So when I needed to build myself a bike or a dune buggy it was easy for me to do. Any way I purchased a jet boat when I was about 48 years old and was mortified when I first put it in the water, I flat refused to drive that damn thing and was going to sell it. BUT Jeff decided to go ahead and build a steering system for it mounting small rudders off to the side of the nozzle with tie rods connecting the rudders t9o the nozzle and the first time I put this in the water I was smiling the second I started to drive it , I lobed driving that boat and finally decided I should patent my design and more and have been doing this ever since.

Tip my hat to you sir. I see your hard work and know-how built a business. The story makes the product even better. You’ve got a couple decades on me, but I still grew up in the days of freedom when owning a car or truck meant you better be able to fix it; often in some remote area. I wore out a Rand McNally and drove a few real pieces of sh$t across the country and still got ‘em home - smokin’ at times or running through gas with an engine misfire. Pissing in a frozen radiator works too btw :) I must have scared the daylights out of my parents.

New member / first time jet boat owner here. I was definitely curious about these products. Perhaps there is more history here than I'm aware of, but judging by this thread alone I'd be wary of buying anything from Jeff based on the level of maturity I see. Trying stock controls this season. Eager to get my 252SD in the water! Enjoying the mostly positive and helpful vibes on the forums.
