If any of you are new to the Connecticut River as I am in my third year of boating I figured I pass this on: Selden Neck State Park is off the Ct River just past Gillette Castle on your left heading south on the river. The northern most entrance looks like it could be shallow it isn't 7-9 feet in the middle. This river cuts around to a state park that has docks that you can tie up overnight and camp. There are fire pits and out houses. From what I saw from the river it looked clean and very nice. There is a cool open bay area perfect to anchor up and eat lunch or relax. I kept traveling in no wake mode south through the twists and turns took about 25 minutes in no wake mode till you exited back into the main river. I encourage you guys to check this out.
