Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
They had the order already in... Something about being first release because they sell so much, I just put the money down for the hold payment in july.
looks awesome! how does your 4R do with the 195? i have the same with a 2 inch lift. i don't want to have to trade in for a full size truck which is what is keeping me from the 21ft models.
Pulls great. No issues. But I only went 10 miles down the back roads. I also took my time because my 4r is brand new and only have 400 miles on it... I am real finiky about breaking engines and tranny's in, in a certain way.
Just picked up my SX190 from its initial service today, at a dealer close to where I live. Not where the boat was originally purchased though.
They said they are still only receiving "pre-orders" on their 2021 Yamaha jets, boats folks ordered 2-3 months ago. Relatively small place.
In late August I put a refundable deposit on the same boat at a large dealer in Orlando - second-largest in FL they say. Near the start of Sept I found basically a new one (three hours on the clock) from a guy with buyer's remorse... long story - tinnitus was the major factor. His was one of the first SX190s delivered to that same dealer in mid-August, after he said he waited for a couple months. Of course, I notified the dealer and they cheerfully canceled my order. Somehow I remained on their list to be notified when "my" boat came in. That happened around Sept 24, about a month after ordering, at which time I had to remind them I already canceled.
My sense is as of now, the larger dealers are getting them in, no problem. Smaller dealers not so much, yet.
...and I forgot to mention at first: the reason I bailed and went for the like-new one for almost full price wasn't so primarily impatience. The large dealer seemed not to be able, or willing to tell me even where I was in line. They promised to do this at the time I ordered, and didn't follow through after numerous emails and calls. I had no idea if I would be waiting a week or several months. Turns out it would have been about a month. Whatever the actual reason, their unwillingness to communicate lost me as a customer.
I canceled my deposit about a month ago. I got tired of waiting and was not happy with the lack of communication. I was headed to the used market, but I got tied up with work and never really looked. I haven’t given it much though until today. My dealer called and told me that the boat I pre ordered in July has been completed and shipped. Looks like I’m back into a new Yamaha. I’m trying to get a free boat cover out of the deal. Honestly, I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Anyone else get a boat cover for waiting so long

Deposit since the 2nd week of July on an AR195. Got the call from my dealer last week that the boat was invoiced finally but still no exact ETA on a delivery date.

Deposit on SX-190 August 10 / Cycle Springs Clearwater FL / Still waiting with no end in sight. I am apparently 3rd on the list for a gray one, and have not moved up the list in 2 whole months. The dealer did say they are receiving boats again, after the dry spell. They received some FSH and a few 25 footers, but no 19 or 21 for quite a while. Some people got their Waverunners on Saturday, judging from the FB page. So frustrating. And this is supposedly one of the highest volume dealers in the US. I was also told they were not going to post anymore boat arrivals on their FB page because other smaller dealerships would get pissed at them haha. Such a sh*t show at the moment.
